Badly installed fibre by contractors for Openreach

[link to this post]

Unsure where I should post this or how to report it to openreach, as the contractors that installed the fibre in the area are installing all the fibre cables within very easy reach of people

Lymm area contractors have installed fibre infrastructure cables and pots low to the bottom of the pole or lose fibre pots or fibre that can swung on by kids , I don't want this in my area it should be 8 foot from ground (including the loop below the pot) https://imgur.com/gallery/pDoyrXA

Sure it’s Openreach and not an AltNet?

All poles are openreach (vans had the on behalf of openreach as well on them)

just wish I had a chat with them when they was installing it as they are unacceptably low where they have put the fibre "figure of 8 fibre holder" and the pots are generally to low so the loop under them is usually accessable by hands

That work isn’t completed it looks work in progress, just be patient and it’ll eventually be finished.

Matters to me neither one way or the other. But it’s clearly bothering the OP….

In any event there is a duty of care / H&S considerations around any sort of easily accessible infrastructure like this whether it’s in the process of being installed (could be months in that state) or finalised.

Lets hope its work in progress but none of us actually know one way or the other, the only thing I am not surprised about is its probably M J Quinn contractors again.

This area is finished about 1-2 months ago I think (sure I have seen some of the 8 ports been used recently) not so much H&S more snapping the fibre killing 8-16 houses or more if its additional feeder to another pole nearby that is an extension Pole

M J Quinn contractors does sound about right who did it
