Is BT still selling GFast?

[link to this post]

Looking to move to a new property. Probably going to go with virgin media; but if it turns out to be congested in the area, FTTH is available on nearly all of the street apart from the last 5 houses which mine would be included in, not sure if it is a postcode problem or it has been genuinely missed.

Regardless, GFast is available and at very high speeds according to the wholesale checker (300meg). I can see talktalk offers it, but BT isn't offering it for the postcode. Sky also don't offer it.

BT does offer G.fast because the BT site are loading with broadband only by default this is why u can't see any G.fast as you have to select broadband & phone and G.fast will be showing. Try again.

Unchained does offer G.fast as well. Here is link: https://www.unchainedisp.net/home-broadband.html

As max points out G.Fast is now only available with a phone service from BT.
They don't offer it as standalone broadband.
They might be the reason it doesn't show online for you.

Once you've moved in, you can use the Openreach customer contact form here and select "I cannot get fibre but my neighbours can". They'll investigate and let you know the outcome.

If properties are fed from overhead you may be able to get an idea of whether your property is included or not, by counting the CBT ports on the poles. Generally there will be one allocated per property, so you can see if there are enough to cover the 5 at the end. (The CBT doesn't have to be directly on the pole serving you; it could be an adjacent one and the cable strung from pole to pole).

OTOH, if the 5 properties at the end were built at a different time, and/or there are wayleave issues or unadopted road, it's quite possible they were missed intentionally.

At least you have G.Fast available at decent speed, implying you are close to the cabinet, as a stop-gap until FTTP eventually comes along.
