Openreach community fibre application stalled

Hi,

Our village has submitted an application for FTTP via the Openreach community fibre program. The names and addresses (about 72 of them) were collected and submitted before I became involved. The application has been stalled for months now with no communication or feedback from Openreach.

When I login to the community leads portal I can see the following message:

Thanks for providing the addresses in your community that are interested in being part of your scheme to get faster broadband.
We're now working on a ballpark cost so during this time your application is 'locked'. You'll hear from us soon with a figure that you can discuss with your community. Once you've done that, please let us know if you want to proceed and we'll work up a full design, showing what speeds each premise would receive.

Below this there is a "Status" section and all 8 of the steps are grey.

Does anyone know what I can do in order to get this application moving forwards, I think it's been about 12 months or so since the application was submitted?

Just for clarity, you're saying someone submitted a CFP request for your village approximately a year ago and Openreach have never come back with costings?

Yes, that is correct

Also, to add a little more information there was a previous CFP application buy someone else in the village that was submitted about 3 years ago and was completed about 2 years after the start of the application. This application was about 300m from my property and I believe it only covers a handful of houses in one street. I'm not sure why at the time the scheme was not expanded to cover more houses, or any letters sent out asking if anyone else wanted to join the scheme.

So there is FTTP in one street in the village as far as I know, but nothing else.

It’s almost as if our application doesn’t exist.

Try contacting them through the email address provided

I heard back from Openreach, below, so it looks like they are not processing new community fibre applications at the moment. And our application was waiting for some kind of response, although I don't know what that was as I wasn't involved in the scheme at the time this happened. Looks like there is nothing to do but wait at this pint in time.

Due to demand there is currently a pause on new schemes and, coupled with the fact that the community did not update us as to what they want to do, as a result the scheme did not progress.

However, we are hopefully looking to resume new applications in the near future and will let you know as and when this happens.
