Moving from one Cityfibre provider to another?

[link to this post]

Hi all,

After another really poor CS experience with Vodafone (no internet for 5 days and counting, and CS fobbing me off telling me theyve escalated it, buit no contact from CF despite promises they'd be in touch within 24 hours..) , I am considering moving to another provider (probably Zen).

Has anyone on here been through the process of switching fibre provider (FTTP), and can give my any feedback on how it went?

Thanks.

Seems no-one has the answer to this.

Not to worry, as I think I am going to have to go back to an Openreach connection anyway, probably with Plusnet.

My connection has been down for 20 days now with no information as to when it will be restored.

I raised a formal complaint with Cityfibre who said it's for Vodafone to deal with, which they have been, to be fair, after a very poor start and a formal complaint to them meant that their customer relations team have effectively taken over my case.

I no longer have confidence in Cityfibre to provide me with a viable service via their resellers, so I will probably have to bite the bullet early next week if nothing changes.

It's a shame, as it's been brilliant when it works, but I don't know in what world Cityfibre thinks a neartly-3-week outage (and counting) is acceptable.
