Process to FTTP 1000/110 to another ISP FTTP 1000/110

[link to this post]

Hi,

I am considering switching ISP soon, I have already have FTTP with BT and thinking about TalkTalk due to price, how easy is it to switch, I take it I still require an engineer to do it, think I have a single port ONT.

Do I just place an order with TalkTalk and they will sort out the rest?

Thanks

Yep, it's that simple. It's a gaining provider led system.

You never, ever, contact your current ISP to tell them you are leaving. They shouldn't do anything at all.
Telling them risks a poorly trained rep placing a cease on your line which will make your Talktalk order fail and leave you with no internet (it happens a lot).

Place the order with Talktalk. Talktalk tell BT. No engineer is needed.
The migration takes 10 working days.
The BT connection will turn off on migration day and within 5 minutes the Talktalk connection will be ready.

I suggest you recheck prices ... I am currently doing an install for someone and whilst they are only going for 500, I have seen 1000 pricing and BT is way cheaper than TT.

What prices are you being quoted.

£49 for TT with £150 gift card. And it’s £60 for BT

I am seeing the same for TT but £40.99 for 1000 FTTP from BT or £45.99 with phone. 500 witn BT is just £30.99/£35.99

I can only see £54.99 for BT on the website.

You will normally see a "new curomers only" banner at the top.
