Vodafone Digital Voice - use with soft client

Hi guys,

I have managed to get the connection details for my Vodafone Digital Voice service, which includes username / password / SIP registrat. Has anyone been able to configure a soft client like zoiper, 3cx, or any other one with those details? If not, what can I actually set up with them, rather than just be tied to using a dect phone connected to the router?

Vodafone have this all locked down, along with some explicit settings you won't find in any softphone so that dream can be dropped.
However, if you're familiar with PBX servers like asterisk you can set that up on a local server and connect any number of devices including softphones.
The members of the vodafone forums have been working hard on this and have some Grandstream devices connected, but it seems some of the settings needed are to explicit for any of the other devices tested.
Personally, I have a Grandstream WP822 running just fine with both my vodafone line and a third party voip.
I think if you really want to carry your landline in your pocket then asterisk is the only way.
