Open reach building , but no notifications

[link to this post]

Its been a while since i was on the forum, and had to reregister. Great to see think broadband still goingsmile

Openreach have been building in my area, the fibres have been attached to the poles, and i have see them working down the man holes as well.

I spoke to the people doing the install and they expected to have finished about a week ago, and they confirmed it was for openreach.

Yet the fttp checking says nothing, any other databases of current activity available ?

it takes around 10 days to 2 weeks from work complete to rfs. if theres any issues add a few days to it(not that you will know) .

14-21 days before Openreach will updated their database then BTwholesale database. After placed an order another 14 days for the installation date.

So its been a while all the poles in my road are showing as "Available to order now" in the openreach FTTP checker except mine which is showing as "We’ll be building in this area in the next year". When I sent an email to open reach they just said "We’ll be building in this area in the next year" even thought my question was why is mine of sync.

My ISP Zen, have a different story, on their checker all the poles in my road except mine are showing as "amber" and you can' t place orders except mine which is showing as "We’ll be building in this area in the next year". How can i find out why my pole is different and when I can order.???

Could it be your pole is unsafe and scheduled for replacement and once done they will return and extend fibre onto it. I think unsafe poles have a red "D" notice on them.

Does the pole have a CBT fitted, if so could be a database error.

They put the fibre up the pole, its all in place. So I cant see it being that . Nice idea though.

You mean the terminal block at the top, then yes fitted over a month ago at the same time as every other pole in the road. , What i don't know is how to check if its something like no room on a switch or other error, or they just forgot to update the records. How di i do this ?

Could well be a database error then. There is a 'my nabours can get FTTP, but I can't' form, might work, otherwise you will have to get on to BT/Openreach to get the records straight.

Have you filled in the form "my neighbour can get fibre but I can't" ?

These are the details courtesy of below post from Pheasant
In reply to a post by Pheasant:
As a first step, complete the following Opnreacxh Availability Checker Enquiry
 form

https://www.openreach.com/forms/fibre-broadband-avai...

Drop down entry for "Please tell us what your fibre broadband enquiry is about" use:
“I cannot get fibre but my neighbours can”

Provide as much detail as possible in the next field. Next steps tbc once they come back to you. Hopefully within the week.

Either its a database issue (use the form mentioned in this thread, which has been quoted), or the network is not ready for taking orders. I'm also seeing similar behaviour with the Openreach checker for my postcode (everywhere just says "We'll be building here in the next year" and then, all of a sudden, it will just become "Available to order now" without any warning or indication that anyone built a network through the usual checker updates).
