Depends on the engineer, but the real hardcore ones prefer malted milk, ginger nuts, or the elusive fig roll.

I have to say that sometimes that is far exceeded.. I was replacing a small lead in from the pavement box to the house , on a sunday morning, and the owner came out with chocolate biscuits and a cafetiere of coffee an a tray ! Needless to say, it would have been impolite to refuse... There are still real people in the world ! ...and yes his line was fixed as well..result.
