I did ask the question in the supprt forum of my Usenet software if the reported speed was accurate as I thought it seemed a little fast!

I am pretty sure it is going "flat-out" though whatever speed it is.

The other interesting point is that I notice no difference when browsing and emailing;
You need to optimise your connection to improve browsing - bigger rwin, more connections allowed, local dns cache, that sort of thing. You will surely notice a difference when sending/receiving mail attachments?

It's been years since I tinkered with that sort of thing BatBoy, do you have any links so I can update myself? It would be great to optimise browsing so my fiancee can "feel" the difference of the new connection on her laptop (802.11N).

Laptop uses Vista, I also run Windows 7 / Mac OSX & Ubuntu on the main PC, can they be done too?

It's an Airport extreme router if that matters.
