So I see smile

Maybe I should get a copy of Firefox for testing... but I don't really like it.

Just to add a bit more confusion- with Camino it still complains that Java isn't installed, but the speedtest runs OK anyway confused

Tried again at 11.40pm just to see if my first result on Firefox 3.6.13 was a fluke but it worked much faster than before. BT Infinity Option 2.

Failed for me just now under both Opera 11 and FF 4

In both cases the test process starts but then

Test Error
The Performance Tester is currently unable to run a speed test for your broadband connection. Please try again shortly, however if this problem persists, raise the issue with your service provider.

Whatever code they've managed to put it that speedtester, I'm beginning to think it might be patentable- "Tailor your Failure to the Browser" grin

I tried both IE 8 and Opera 11.01 but obviously I was within the hour so couldn't re-test. However, in both cases it said I didn't have Java installed and I was asked to 'click here' to install. I didn't click and both browsers did their usual things before the 'too soon to re-test' message appeared. In both cases it looked as if they would work but I'll have to wait for another 35 minutes before I can try again. It's unusual for my old slug of a computer to do anything properly so I'm amazed that BT Speedtester works for me, at least on Firefox.

Still exactly the same ...
