might just be a sign that idnet are over stretching themselves.

Is it not congestion on the WBC links into the ISP ?

is fttc interleaved only? so far every single tbb graph I have seen of a fttc line has high base latency and packet loss.

it has multiple levels of INP and interleaving, and three ISP stability profiles that affect the use of the former.

MaxDSL - goes as fast as it can and doesn't read the line checker first.

Hopefully it's OK now.

As I indicated earlier, the cause was being investigated and some remedial work was performed this morning.

Just to fill a hole in your life tongue:

My Broadband Ping

It's not current, shortly after that the DLM turned interleave on and jacked my base latency up to ~20ms frown

Packet loss is around 0.1% or less during the evening... hardly an issue.

edit- the two spikes in the morning were re syncs.

further edit- the two bad bits around 1pm and 6pm were (I'm fairly sure) early signs of the problem that has been the subject of this thread.

Yup. And for a bit before that I gather.

From yesterday's RSS status feed:
Service: Announcement
Updated: 2011-02-15 11:02:06
State: Good Service
Message: We will be performing some essential maintenance on a core router in Telehouse tomorrow morning 16/02/11 06:00 to 06:30. Traffic will be re-routed during that period.

The router needed a severe talking-to tongue

Taken from Simons (IDNET) post on Idnetters -

We think we may have found a common denominator and so we're going to reboot one of our core routers - telehouse-gw5 - tomorrow morning. Traffic wil be routed through other routers whilst it's offline but we'll do it at the quietest time of the day, 6am, just to minimise any disruption.
