I have also gone for Infinity option 2 but have not yet had the letter, it was only ordered on Thursday though. Now waiting for next Friday.

I have had cause to talk to BT c/s in the last couple of days, as I noticed on the 'track my order' it had my old mobile number (must have forgotten to change it). I gave up on the phone system as it seems designed to stop you from talking to a person. ( though many businesses seem to have that kind of phone system so BT are not alone). I emailed them in the evening instead and got a response the next morning saying that it had been done. That is much better than it used to be.

Still waiting for the cabinet on the corner of Coppenhall Grove and Victoria Avenue to be upgraded. They started work on it just before Christmas. Then the snow came down and they just abandoned it. Eventually the hole was filled in and nothing else happened. The upgrade date just keeps being put back. I am starting to get the feeling my nearest cabinet has been forgotten frown

From BT placing the FTTC cab to it going live was 11 weeks and 3 days in my case. Hope they have not forgotten you, good luck.

Same with my cabinet where i live- all others have seem to be upgraded or are in the process of being done - some with a turnover of only a few days in certain cases. Just have to keep fingers crossed!

I asked Openreach about my cabinet (above) and this is the main part of their reply:
'Whilst your current cabinet is included in the schedule there are still significant works to be done...'
So there is still hope!

It's now the 4th June and still no sign of cab 66 on Victoria Avenue getting started let alone finishing by 30th June.I am still getting this reply from BT Wholesale Availability Checker,

Your cabinet is planned to have WBC FTTC by 30th June 2011. Our test also indicates that your line currently supports a fibre technology with an estimated WBC FTTC Broadband where consumers have received downstream line speed of 29.4Mbps and upstream line speed of 6.4Mbps.

Anybody heard anything,I'm desperate to get on it to get off My Adsl2 1.3 connection.

Do you mean you have no FTTC cab yet or that the cab is not complete? It was 11 weeks and three days from my FTTC cab being placed to it going live.
