The text though seems to be to do with the modem sync, rather than the JDSU? That wasn't something I was told I don't think - bah!
The Eclipse test is done at the end of all repair and installation tasks. If the installation is an FTTC one, then the test returns two separate texts, the first shows both up and down sync rates (this only works to registered staff mobiles and when there is an open provide or repair task), the second is a copper pair test. It doesn't matter what's in sync on the end, as long as 'something' is is sync. If no router is connected it just displays a different text message.
