There are also complaints on the BT.com forum that some people have had failures even when it is wall mounted.

Yes, the modem isn't the most robust piece of kit, but the chances of it's failing are greatly reduced if it is wall mounted. Of all those I have had to replace, and it's a sadly high figure, none, have been wall mounted.

Mine still failed even when it was actively cooled by an exhaust fan from my server...
The new one runs super cool, but im stuck at a [censored] low sync because of the [censored] dlm... how hard is it for them to reset the thing! seems impossible.

What does www.speedtester.bt.com show for your line ? I presume the engineer replaced the modem, they should have checked the sync rate, and got the sync rate reset. ( I have mentioned this before on here).

Well ive had several conversations with Level 2 Infinity Support.

They say my line is syncing at 38000~ my line profile is 25989
They have once again requested a bRAS profile reset.
