But he is looking for FTTC info, and current line stats aren't any use for that. He has an FTTC estimate, but an ali line from the cabinet by the sound of it, so the estimate could be garbage. (Too high, unusually).

I think he is hoping some copper is going to replace the ali.

But it would explain his current connection speed... as for replacing ali, unless he asks and pays for an external wiring shift I don't think it'll happen.

I am definitely on ADSL2+, both when using my own DrayTek Vigor 2800V and A&A's test router a ZyXEL

My Attenuation is 35 dB reported both on my router stats and on A&A control panel, however that is just a remote of mine.

Cheers!

The fact still remains that Openreach have marked up existing cable ducts which are NOT on the fibre route between exchanges and/or FTTC cabinets.

Must have been done for some reason, just trying to find out what that reason is.

For what it's worth, the two local existing cabinets do not contain nice neat rows of terminals for the underground cable to be connected to, instead with the doors open all you see is a rats nest of pairs conected together with gel crimps. Will be a nightmare to trace out the appropriate pair for a particular number.

Cheers!
