That area is covered by the FTTP installation they did a while ago in Broughton Square. They really are taking ages to get people live after dropping the cables back in Mar/Apr.

So sadly not good news for theose in the Broughton Gate new builds east of Milton Road and north of the stream.

As a side - bing maps is now showing many of the new Broughton Gate roads

If you mean along northern end of Tanfield Road, I am not surprised. BT line checker only shows FTTP available in a few roads (Bewdley Grove, Milton Road Cicle, Swanwick lane are a few I have checked and are available).

So although BT/OR installed the fibre that should have covered most of old Boughton, it seems they have only enabled some of the addresses. Most likely the cabs on the wrong side of the stream are not enabled for old and new houses alike.

I suspect that the FTTP on the west side of the stream is fed from Monkston, and east of the stream is united in waiting for the feed from Newport road (that has been possibly ongoing for a while).

Feel proud to be "on the map" smile

I'm really tempted to go 3G, speeds between 0.45 and 0.8 mbps at the moment on Countdown Way...

Different networks and different price plans give different speeds on 3G.

James - be* pro - on THFB - sync about 17.2mbps - BQM

Hi
I thought i would update you all ..

After 12 weeks and 5 engineer visits the FTTP is up and working smile .

I was offered the trial back in June which was to finish in October but because of the issues i had and the fact i took 5 days leave i was offered an extra 3 months for free, which will take me to January 2013.

Thanks
