I've just added another Ethernet cable from my router to LAN2 and I can now access the internet and the Huawei Control panel at the same time.

I know it was 10dB in January as I saw the relevant screen on the JDSU myself. It may have changed since.

Also how do you come to the conclusion that 38,000 is "well under" 40,000?!?

Attenuation basically doesn't change, and as 40Mbps is achievable at over 17dB, and bearing in mind a 3dB rise is double the loss, so my loss is more than 4 times yours, 38000 or so is well below 40000.

Either the reading is wrong, or there is a problem. What IP Profile does the BT speed test show?

Hi MHC.. I don't understand the power level figure, nor many of the other stats either. This is really not my domain. Also, how is the atten. figure obtained? It's not just this modem, but all other Broadcom 63xx devices. They present a single figure for attenuation in their web interfaces, for either or both of the attenuation for the line and the signal attenuation. I guess the atten. figure must be based on an average as well, but I can't see how to calculate it. cheers.

Can you take another screenshot of the xDSL stats page for me so I can see your error count compared to mine? (I know you've already posted one sceenshot but that was with very little uptime)

stats here, I don't really understand the 2 different US and DS stats, my line is 350 meters to the cab by road so the true length may be closer to 400ish.

Also since doing this, I have enabled DMZ and set the IP of my router for it, and disabled the firewall as with having a router connected to the modem you don't need 2 right?
I have been messing with a few other settings and getting MUCH higher upload speeds!

Just tried BT speedtest and get the same results, don't know if this is a coincidence or not?
