That should do nicely for my Media Portal set up over VPN, means my sister can watch live tv at uni.

Who knows!

I believe BT Retail customers on FTTP get Infinity at the same price as those on FTTC, and that they get 100Mbps, though I could be wrong.

What other ISPs do is another matter of course.

I believe that the uplift in speed shouldd be at no additional cost.

You definitely are slowing down. That was the first thing I noticed about the thread, and I thought we were all being polite tongue.

Good crack though, now the "double" is around smile.

I wouldn't hold your breath it's a new product from Openreach and will cost BT Wholesale and in turn BT Retail and other operators more than the current 40Mb packages. Whether or not BT Retail will be prepared to suck this extra cost up and whether they actually have any room to given they're already taking the hit on Infinity we'll see.

i beleive there will be no extra cost as this will not cost bt anything to implement, they simply have to adjust the requency from the current 7ghz to 17 ghz, i also believe there will be no cost because they want to compete directly with virgin media, and are out to be the fastest bb available, hence the reason why fttp is getting an uplift from 100mbps to 110mbps just for the right to claim faster supplier.
