yeah but my max attainable rate is some 14 meg more than my actual rate, oh and by the way my snr is 10.5.

edit - ah no tell a lie my max attainable has just gone up to 51mbp/s, but my sync has stayed the same ( 32mbps ), oh well not that im unhappy with my speeds.

It might be advantageous to reboot the HG612 (during daylight hours) and see if things then improve. From Bald_Eagle1's experiences, a modem reboot is sometimes required in that situation.

So it looks like my downstream has benefited from the change to band plan 998, but my attainable upload has suffered as a result.

Nevertheless, I'm pretty pleased that the line should be capable of approx 50Meg down and 7Meg up

I finally got round to unlocking my modem. Quite pleased with the stats considering my line is at least 400m.

Just unlocked my modem, in a bit of a rush and i dont know what proile i am on currently.

Stats were:

sync of 39999 down 9999 up
max attainable 53.4Mbit
SNR 16db

The output, returned by an xdslcmd info --show command line, will clearly say "Profile . . . ".

As i said i was in a rush, i just used the modems web interface.

Managed to get into mine this morning after having it installed Thursday..

Not bad considering the checker estimated at 17.8Mbps..

Asked engineer for line legth to cabinet but didnt have his tester?? Going by road, length is at least 650m, he reckoned about 850m off the top of his head after doing two others in my street...
