Same has happened to my number too - i think its changing again to delay another 3 months (my cab hasnt been done).

Probably worth checking again in 24 hours

Yes, it's quite common. Mine jumped backwards and forwards a couple of times for a week or two, then disappeared. To return with a date either live or just a couple of days ahead, I forget.

As the others have said, an "end of quarter" date is often just a holding date, meaning little, and late in a month can slip 3 or 6 months. I've never heard of it disappearing in those circumstances though, just altering. Though maybe it can, judging by what has just been posted here. It's still a bit early in December for that I would have thought anyway, though I could be wrong frown.

It has always been very unsatisfactory.

This time last year (almost to the day), my date changed on a (close to) daily basis for 8 days, with dates ranging from end-December through to the end of the next September - going back and forth between them, and also disappeared too.

In the end, while the neighbouring cabinets went live (and had installs) by the end of December, mine got pushed back to near the end of March and the install only happened in June.

It teaches you patience, or lets you know how little patience you have!

Your cabinet is planned to have WBC FTTC by 31st December 2011...

I'm in the same situation - it was 31st December 2011, but now it's never!

However, when I went here and clicked on the Plusnet logo, Plusnet say it'll be available 19th April 2012.

Bummer!

I clicked on that same link and my exchange lists down as April 2011.

Exchange enabled for FTTC doesn't mean you can get it on your cab. My exchange (THFB) has been enabled since 2009 I believe. Still no service on cab 5 (PCP 5) but surrounding streets are up and running. Planning issues apparently frown

James - be* pro - on THFB - sync about 17.2mbps - BQM

At least you have dates. I had a new telephone line installed, and instead of connecting it to an exchange which is closer and already has FTTC enabled, they connected to an exchange with a bit more capacity but coming in Mar 2012! So I am stuck on abysmal 3/1 DSL

Yeah I know. Its weird not seeing the fibre message being displayed especially when the phone number has been inputted in. And I'm looking at the proposed power plans to be installed in this week aswell. Something doesn't add up with the BT checker at the moment. **Confused**

That's because, looking at the "Fibre in the UK, see when fibre arrives" box, you are looking at a very old marketing message. 19th April 2011 was when Plusnet started selling fibre connections, so every exchange that was already in service got labelled with this date.

And because it is a static marketing message, I don't think it has been updated *since* 19th April either.

If you use the "Check availability" buttons, you get a better answer. Or you need to use a live dynamic checker that tells you about the current status of your own individual line, such as:
http://www.dslchecker.bt.com/adsl/adslchecker.welcome

However, both of those will dpend on the same BT database that you've now disappeared from. You might need to wait until it comes back.
