This may be linked to RIchmond Councillors objecting to any cabinets in the borough. Suggest an equiry to your local councillor and planning department, possibly followed by one to the local paper!

Has anybody had any developments on this with the checker?
doesnt mention anything for me still, it has completely disappeared, no mention of WBC FTTC at all.. Mine used to give a fibre estimate and a date of 'by 31st March 2012'. I went on it today just to check (the new cab is now in place and workmen have left). Now it doesn't say anything about fibre.
Perhaps they have to remove the old information before putting something new in there? I'll have to check back later, lol.
Is it a big cab or a small one ?

Seems a fairly normal size to me. 1 metre tall, two metres wide.

My parents has dropped off the checker despite the cab being installed last week. I'm sure BT will update soon, If not soon then after the holidays, for those that have cabs installed, don't worry you will have a fibre service shortly.

The question is for those of us still awaiting an FTTC cab to be fitted, the estimates have now vanished. Does that mean "never" or "keep waiting" ?

Judging by the number, and persistance of, all these posts about it they have pulled an awful lot while they do a proper (??) review of the schedule for 2012.

Yeah that would be logical. Out of interest does your active line still mention FTTC?
I note other places that pull BT data (e.g. ADSL24's checker) now report that FTTC is not available which could just be interpretation of 'no data'.

Yep. 17a profile too.
Our test also indicates that your line currently supports a fibre technology with an estimated WBC FTTC Broadband where consumers have received downstream line speed of 28.9Mbps and upstream line speed of 11.5Mbps.
