guys its updated!

says i can get infinity, but my cab has not been upgraded?!

this is on the bt infinity website, it says 'order now'
Hmmm. Mine has updated as well:

"Our test also indicates that your line currently supports a fibre technology with an estimated WBC FTTC Broadband where consumers have received downstream line speed of 33.3Mbps and upstream line speed of 12.6Mbps."

I'm gonna give someone a call smile
Exactly the same here ; interesting!

Time to order it then for all those who have available now on the checker.

Sooner you order sooner it will arrive, but like the post may be after the date for Christmas!

Ordered mine today, haven't got back to me with dates but they reckon mid-January. That's fine for me. It wasn't likely to be next week and I'm away after that for Christmas.

All in all pretty good actually. They only started work a couple of weeks ago. Then again I think mine's the first cabinet the cable reaches so it probably had to be enabled first.

Don't take things too literally. Andrue's post was an owl. (If you weren't a Twin Peaks addict you will need that explaining).

As for my reply, have you never heard of what two bricks can be used for?
To misquote Pterry Pratchett: "Never stand behind a camel while carrying two bricks"

The checker has now dropped the FTTC paragraph again for numbers near me - anyone else?

I imagine there's been some database issues, looks like a lot of cancelled orders coming.......

The same event for my number.
30 minutes ago I could get FTTC up to 10/33 (estimate). Now I can only have ADSL2+ 1.5/19.5 (estimate).
It appears that I'm stuck with ADSL2+ Annex M 2.5/16.8 for the foreseeable future.

I have had the exact same issue. Before I could get FTTC, then earlier I could order it, now it's gone again.

Yup gone for me as well. BTw are a bunch of muppets. Oh well it's not like I need a faster connection but I hate being mucked about.

Been a bad day for BT in that respect. I got an email saying it was time to renew my phone package. Followed the link to renew it and just got an apology about a technical error. Decided to do it over the phone only to be told I couldn't renew for another week. Again - the renewal doesn't excite me but being mucked about annoys me.
