If your cabinet really is 'just at the end of the road', then there sounds like somethings amiss. My first port of call would be to contact BT Business broadband, and have them get an engineer out, line I went to the other day had been poorly/incorrectly installed, giving the punter a sync rate of around 20 meg, and 40 when I'd finished.

p.s You are running these speed tests when connected to the router via an ethernet cable, aren't you ?

Thirded

RobertoS has made the most important point - the reported profile is below the minimum guaranteed by BT on Business Infinity (the BT web site says 16Mb - I presume they mean per second) so this counts as a fault and the OP should report it as such.

Have you tried resetting the router. My speed dropped from 38/8 to 14/8 after being on infinity for 2 months. I reset the router from the BT Hub Manager and all returned to normal.

We had a power cut last night. When I next went online I noticed my download speed, via a BT Hub was 1 Meg higher smile

The cabinet really is at the end of my road. If I stick my head out my window I can see it.

My speed tests are being done wireless as that's how we operate.

I just right-click on the Task Bar. But the Win 7 one is a waste of time, you have to find the Resource Monitor in Accessories >> System Tools.

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk
My domains, website and mail hosting - Tsohost. Internet connection - IDNet Home Starter Fibre. Live BQM.

On XP is is also: <Ctrl><Alt><Delete> - try it and see!

Windows7 does have a Resource Monitor in Task Manager: button at the bottom of the Performance tab ...I think it's the same as the one in system tools.
