Just a quick update to say I just spoke with bt and noone will be turning up for today appointment. thats four out of five bookings in 3 weeks where nobody has turned up. Excellent!

Apparently someone will be turning up tomorrow instead, New years Eve! lol.

So now I have to hang around on new years eve. I'll be amazed if someone actually turns up.

What was their reason?

Saturday visits for business customers are quite normal.

No, I was advised not to do this until an engineer visits

If it works, job done
If it doesn't, you've still got the engineer coming.

Looks like a win-win situation to me.

the reason was the same as the 3 previous times "the order didn't go through to them", despite me receiving a sms phone message saying the order was confirmed.

They had better come on Saturday as the office is closed and I have family visiting for the weekend from far away places. I'll be sitting in my lonely dark office just waiting for an engineer lol.

Did you turn the modem off for 5 minutes yet?

Do I turn the modem and the reuter off or just the modem?

Surely that's even more reason to turn off for 5 mins. If it works, cancel the engineer using their incompetence as a reason.

It only needs to be the modem.

I just lost my internet connection then. All the lights on my router went out. You think that could mean someones working on it somewhere?

It seems to happen 2 or 3 times a day. I hear a click and the router turns its lights off.

Could be... maybe the engineer really did turn up.
