It seems to happen 2 or 3 times a day. I hear a click and the router turns its lights off.
Odd, doesn't happen to me.

I just lost my internet connection then. All the lights on my router went out. You think that could mean someones working on it somewhere?

Do you mean the power light goes off as well? What about the modem?

I would say this indicates a faulty router.

It sounds like the router keeps disconnecting/reconnecting and DLM is interpreting this as a noise problem, so it is adjusting your IP profile to try and stabilise your connection.

I think you need a new router, unless it's caused by power supply issues.

I'm pretty sure it's all lights on the router. I haven't noticed any lights go out on the modem

Just done a ping test. What does "unable to to test packet loss" mean?

Suely I couldn't have had a faulty modem and faulty router installed! He replaced the original modem on installation as it was faulty lol

Probably means your network doesn't respond to ping.

All I can say is, mine doesn't click off. I have an uptime of hundreds of hours.

You could try connecting your computer directly to the modem and see if you have no problem.

What you do about the username and password I don't know, but others have done this. IIRC they are default values, but it's a long time since I didn't do such through a router.
