Then run some TBB or speedtest.net tests and post the results. For both Speedtest.net and TBB there is a facility to provide a link rather than cut and paste the details.

"TBB" ?

Brilliant, (the pasting I mean). That's what you have to do with a BT test, or a screenshot loaded up somewhere.

You are the first person reporting a IP Profile above 38717, which may interest you but hasn't solved the throughput problem frown !

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk
My domains, website and mail hosting - Tsohost. Internet connection - IDNet Home Starter Fibre. Live BQM.

What's so brilliant about my ip profile being above 38717?

With a 40/10 service everything is normally capped at 40Mbps and most sync at 39999 which leads to a Profile or Configured speed of 38717 (old) or 38716.

You may be on an 80/20test exchange which is delivering data rates greater than 40 Mbps

when the engineer installed it, he did say it was geared up for 80mb but can't go live yet due to money spent on marketing campaigns the 40mb.

It's not.

17a profile software is live in a majority of cabinets ... but the caps have not been lifted except where BT are trialling it at no extra cost to users.

I should clarify, I was replying to "can't go live yet due to money spent on marketing campaigns the 40mb".
