There is some confusion earlier. MrSaffron sort of got it right.

You are are a fixed speed connection, and it is a very old package. So he got the important bits.

Playing with wiring or whatever you do cannot improve that 1152kbps connection speed. But your ISP could move you within hours onto the normal variable speed package and you should then connect at the speeds XRaySpeX said.

The difference between what that would give and what WBC/WBMC from upgrading your connection to that when is comes is negligible. ADSL2+ could easily be worse. (Though still better than now). The best woudl probably be a WBC connection forced down from ADSL2+ to ADSL2 by the ISP.

Im not using any extension telephone sockets, just my main one.

I am on the Essentials package from Talktalk, although we have moved since we bought the package, and used to live in the town of Penryn (where there was LLU). Maybe they didn't configuration it correctly when we moved in 2009?

For what it's worth.....

Your d/s attentuation is about 3dB better than mine and I get a fraction under 5Mb.

To be honest TalkTalk phone support for an IPStream product will be largely non-existent
