I'll be happy if my eventual Cab41 Leyland party is attended by nobody, I want to jealously guard it considering the effort I've made on my own - still it's still a promise from OR of a date, no ground work done as yet frown

Todays the big day for you. Hope all goes well.

I dont think many would show up for the street party, most people still seem unaware of FTTC, and like you, I quite like it that way smile

Ive looked into the cost and will go for it in Feb or March. Ill probably stay with plusnet. I know a lot of people dont rate them, but my experience of their service has been pretty good. Once more companies offer Fibre, I will probably change further down the line.

Good luck, hope all goes well. It's definitely worth waiting for. Don't forget to let us know how it goes.

BT -> Zen -> F2S -> Bulldog -> Be* -> BT Infinity

My connection from the BT box outside My house ran round the side and back and through into the kitchen,My router (O2 ) was connected via Devolo 200mb Homeplugs to My study upstairs and this was very unsatisfactory ( the position of the phone point not the homeplug).The OR engineer agreed with Me and placed a new phonebox+faceplate in My dining room using a new cable which is now 4 feet from the connection box. I still used the homeplugs and they work extremely well as you can see from the speedtests (which of course will settle down over the next few days).
So far I am really chuffed with it.

In reply to a post by pokchop1st:
NOT this year then.Will have to do some quick New Year wishes,cab still humming but the availability checkers are still on March 2012,which is exactly 12 months since the exchange went live.
Wonder if this is a record.???

No record there. Exeter was as a whole over a year behind in getting activated.
