Re: How do you know which cabinet you are connected to

From what source the spreadsheet is made from, all cabs and postcodes are present from that source, when it is updated is not known either.

The current list shows all cabs for a exchange and will show EO lines, cabs that are due to be enabled and those that have no dates left blank.
New estates generally will have a new cab and more postcodes, which would mean they would take time to appear in the Post office database and then into Openreach database.
New estates have been seen to miss the inital rollout on a exchange area, i have seen cabs for new estates planned later on in the rollout.

Being in the sticks tn330sf I suspect we will not be connected anytime soon even though Baldslow is. Could you put me out of my misery? Please.

Since you are in Kent is their no Wireless service in you area?

Most of the County Councils will be awarding there tenders over the summer so upgrades for the countryside are coming just will be either end of 2012 or start of 2013 when the work begins.

I initially thought Tunbridge Wells, but he's in East Sussex and no wireless showing on Sam Knows, not even Vfast who cover a lot of Kent.

I'm at DH8 7QN, can you do the same for me please? Speed is poor here with 3.1Mbps. Also June for FTTC.
Cabinet 5, speed times 5.82, or cabinet 17, speed times 10.41. Phase 8a, FTTC.

Thank you, here's hoping for cabinet 17! Is there any way to change or will they automatically choose the highest speed? Thanks again.

The lines once enabled for FTTC will go as fast as the line allows, the 2 figures for cabinet 5 and 17 are the uplift.

This is what the expected line speed increase will be, cabinet 17 lines have a slower asdl speed then those on cabinet 5, hence the higher uplift figure.

EMGRETO GREAT OAKLEY NN188RR {EMGRETO}{P11} 0 100% 7.93 8a Yes FTTC

You are connected to cab 11, which is due to be upgraded in phase 8a- July to September.

The uplift is 7.93 so times that by your current speed will give a indication of what to expect on FTTC.
