Thanks for that.

I get this:

Our test also indicates that your line currently supports a fibre technology with an estimated WBC FTTC Broadband where consumers have received downstream line speed of 62.6Mbps and upstream line speed of 20Mbps.

Thanks.

I think I'll leave mine until the initial Infinity is installed & running, then I'll try the upgrade.

I don't want it to go wrong before my installation date of Tues 17th April.

Can also confirm that if they estimate your line at below 38Mb on the checker then you cannot continue with the order as you already have the fastest available.. Makes sense but there will be some who can get above 40Mb with estimates below that...
EDIT.... This is for the 78Mb product... Those on 2Mb upload should be ok..

That sounds dramatic frown. They are a pain. Is that from a system message, or an email from a sales person?

You might find that some of the other ISPs will do it, like they did for the 5Mbps one before BT Retail did.

From a system message this morning. Don't think i will pursue it though seen as the highest attainable I have ever seen for my line is 42Mb. I do know others who have 55Mb - 60Mb attainable but the checker gives 37Mb so those could be a little peeved...

Hmmm its going to be a long 24 hours wait,

WBC says I can get 27 down 5 up, I currently get 35 down and 9 up (my profile is set to 35).

Have ordered the upgrade anyway so once the Cap if off will the BT DLM try to sync at a higher rate or will it still sync at what the profile is set to ? If it see too many errors when the cap is taken off will it lower the speed ?

The line checker gives me 66.8Mb - my modem shows over 100Mb for attainable rate.

Hi Anonymous,

There have been a few problems with customer trying to upgrade that have line rental saver. We are looking into this. If you send me in your details using http://bt.custhelp.com/app/contact_email/c/4950 I'll see what can be done.

Cheers
