Results for Postcode SS15 6GS
Postcode        Exchange        Service Type    Probability     Speed Increase  PhaseSS156GS LAINDON FTTC, but not available yet     33%
SS156GS LAINDON FTTC    66%     3.59    8a
Where probability is less than 100% it means that not all telephone lines in that postcode are connected to an enabled/planned cabinet.
Speed Increase means multiple your current speeds by this factor to get an estimate of possible download speeds e.g. a factor of 12.5 when you have 4 Mbps now suggests a speed of 50 Mbps after the upgrade.
If you get multiple results, then the postcode is served by more than one cabinet, so further checks should be made before ordering a service.

Sounds like to are talking to some dodgy people at BT.

It would be extremely odd if you can't get "normal BB", and unless the Openreach spreadsheet is wrong, (which it occasionally is), that missing 33% is on cabinet 1, but not scheduled. It is not showing as Exchange Only.

The scheduled 66% is cabinet 19.

Hi

I'm still trying and failing to get Sky to place an order for my fibre.

I've now discovered which cabinet I'm on and according to Sky, this isn't enabled for fibre. The surprising thing is that I've checked 3 postcodes surrounding me (nearby) and all say fibre is available. I find it hard to believe I would be connected to a cabinet further than these which isn't enabled.
Also, Epsom exchange was upgraded in March.

Can someone point me in the direction (or check) if cabinet 45 for exchange Epsom (KT19) is FTTC enabled?

Thanks

Michael

I've searched for KT19 Epsom in the leaked BT file from December and can't see cabinet 45 as being enabled.

Thanks for checking.

Guess I will have to wait. Its really strange that they would have upgraded at least 3 post codes around me and not my cabinet, especially with a bunch of new houses going up.

That's on GLASGOW KIRKINTILLOCH exchange which BT added to the fibre roll out in their March 2012 update, linked below. The latest leaked BT postcode database pre-dates this announcement so we don't have much more info at yet.

Hello im wondering if anyone could tell me what cabinet im on for an idea of speed on fttc,,on sam knows it says im on mrpre and im 1.93km from the exchange am i correct in thinking that isnt what i go of and there is a nearer box to me that then connects to mrpre.

Bt says i can get 76mb but at 1.93km away seems far for that sort of speed
