I used the Dec 11 spreadsheet tonight and put at least one post code per cabinet into the bt.com Infinity checker. Not one cabinet came back as having Infinity available across Westhoughton. I've just emailed the [email protected] address with that tail and just asked for an honest estimate when Westhoughton will start to have cabinets enabled.

Yes but the spreadsheets and pdfs on the web page below say Westhoughton is available now and not Coming Soon or Future Exchange. My first email to [email protected] was to say if the June 2012 date is right, which hopefully it is, then the other information on the web page is in contradiction.

Keep us up to date, would be interesting to know the outcome

Hi numpty, just phoned BT on the specialist number I mentioned the other day, the guy confirmed that work was being done on our exchange, the bad news is the timescale, he said 3 months away

The [email protected] team emailed me the following yesterday:-

"I�ve had an update from our Infinity team. They�ve said they�re sorry but the work for the Westhoughton exchange is currently in delay. They�ve told me they expect the work to start in about 3-4 weeks. With an estimated completion date of end August�12.

I�ve asked them to confirm if the cabinet which provides your service will be enabled for Infinity. I�ll contact you again on Tuesday once I�ve received a response."

Had a reply today saying cabinet 25 will be enabled but no time frame quoted in reply from BT.

Thanks for keeping us updated, good to know that our cab will be upgraded at some point in the future, although disappointing that they cannot state an approximate date, I would just opt for Virgin Media personally, but haven't got that in the area either which is a bit rubbish, although I did send a request to [email protected] as they did install virgin media to The Pungle about 6 months ago, so maybe worth sending a request in, the more people in the area that do this, the more likely we are to get anywhere.
