The £2 add-on is fully tested and works. There's not much point to it though because you may as well take advantage of the 80/20 trial instead seeing as it doesn't cost anything.

Rgds,

Take it from me, as a customer of almost 10 years, there certainly is a point to it, it would give your customers some confidence that you are updating you products and not just dragging your feet with out dated products and vague time lines!

I did not want to sign up to an 18 month contract, take advantage of the trial, which not forgetting was supposed to be over by mid to end of April IIRC and then find there was no 10mb upload option, and then have to forkout £35 a month to get a decent upload speed!

Edit: Also customers may prefer not to accept the T&Cs of being on a trial, which leaves them with the paltry option of 2mb upload

How does your sync compare with BT's estimate for your line? They gave me an estimate of 61/20 but I get 79999/20000 sync, with attainable rates around 100/34. The line is around 300m which was a guess by the engineer since he did not seem to have a JDSU.
It's gone down and up a little. Odd things happening on the upstream margin and occasional disconnections. Unfortunately I didn't have the logging/graphing scripts running when I was of the 40/nn so don't know if it was the same then frown.
your line currently supports a fibre technology with an estimated WBC FTTC Broadband where consumers have received downstream line speed of 51.7Mbps and upstream line speed of 13.2Mbps.
Actual now 57557/15214kbps. 600m line.

My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk
My domains, website and mail hosting - Tsohost. Internet connection - Plusnet Value Fibre 80/20 trial.

Well I am on the trial now and it makes a huge difference to upload speed now 14/15 mbps, Downlod speed has increased marginally, and only once have I broken the 40mbps barrier.
(this is using the London Namesco server on speedtest.net which does seem to be a little stuttery for the last few days.)

Will wait and see if there is any difference after training
