If you can afford it why wouldn't you get it, I, for one, will be getting it for the faster upload speed, then again I'm probably in the minority since I will be using to stream live footage of gaming and uploading big files (1 gig and up) to servers, for example high definition rendered videos. Sure a lot of people are happy with 15mb but if you can get 60mb download then why not, if it's not a strain on your budget.
Belmont is pretty bad for ADSL, saying that I know of some one who lives in that area and gets around 4 megabits.
The problem is it will be a strain on a lot of peoples budgets, many people are cutting down, I see it at work, customers who used to buy higher quality food are now going for cheaper stuff and even the basic brand, people I know even with pretty good jobs have cut down on things like sky channels and gone for cheaper broadband providers like sky and Talk talk.
You may not think a extra tenner a month will break the bank, but for some it will. it is getting pretty tough out there.
I don't have a great wage coming in, but i am supporting myself and that is it, ok and the cat, so yes i can afford fibre, just don't feel the need for that speed.
sure I know people who will snap up fibre, even my mate who lives in Whitecross and gets 16 megabits says he will look at it.
We will wait and see how long it takes for Bloated Toad to get it up and running.
