i was told a few weeks ago that they wil be doing the cab at belmont abbey and my friend next door to us said he was tiod bye bt that it wil work out here and if i can rember right when i order bt broadband last year it didt work and the bt engineer siad u ahve top wait for the fiber broadband and it wil work then

Fantastic work on the google mapping, I'm on cab 37 no work started yet, hope my cab will be done soon, I get 6mb at the moment, will get 40/10 with sky, just inpatient and want fibre now

I added 3 more dotted yellows.

Also there a few cabs, for example behind the Oval and on the A465 road near what was the Ship Inn/cross street that were scheduled in the first batch in streetworks but didn't get done. The one by the Ship might have co-incided with the Queens visit perhaps. Just hypothesis I wasn't in Hereford around then.

So all these new cabs that have been installed, do any of them have fibre to them yet?

It's hard to tell. Personally I've seen planty of fibre containment going in various places. I've also seen Telent contractors in Whitecross road, so that's a good indication at least some of it is in. There continue to be on-going duct clearing in Kings acre road. Things are quiter on the ducting front in holmlacy rd now.

BT have said tthey have a target to go live before the end of August, which isn't that far away.

To be fair the last target was 30th of June .... Hope its soon, my [censored] connection has lost 20% of its speed in the last 3 weeks.

If all pay gives you 35Mb. they stuck a advert on their facebook page saying they can give 35Mb/s in named places, they mentioned Hereford as well.
when i asked they said it was not available here in the city.

i told them in a round about way that is false advertising and ISPs have been done for a lot less.


They will need to up their speed, but they need to sort out bandwidth first, which they are suppose to be doing next month. they will need to expand it a hell of a lot, because this morning the speed was really low. it is better now mind you.

I don't want to go to town with them, but i pay for a service and if that service is worse than what I had with ADSL, then I wasted money by paying for my ADSL cease and the installation fee.

I want to stay with All pay as i think it is a good system and when I did get in contact about a problem, they phoned me back twice to sort it out. You won't get that with BT or Talk Talk. i doubt you will get that with Sky either.


So yes they need to expands the bandwidth by a lot, not just for the people that are using the system now, but for expansion as well. when they do that and everything is going ok and the speeds that it should be, then I will go for ten megabits.
