Hi folks - quick question.

Are all the yellow cabinets to be upgraded, or just showing where they are?

Am at top end of Quarry Road, Tupsley (about 150m from St Pauls Church).

Very, very much hoping for fibre broadband - current connection aint great at all.

How does one determine which cabinet serves your house? None seem all that close.

BT's checker seems to think end of September and around 50mb download, 11ish mb upload (which is around 20 times better than I'm getting now).

In theory all the yellow ones are in this initial roll-out. But based on hearsay (from an engineer) they are deploying 3 less cabs than we have total green+yellow (ignoring the 5 SCPs as I assume only their associated PCPs will get fibre cabs)

If the BT checker says you are getting it, that's the most positive news you can get.

Quarry Rd has several postcodes:

HR1 1SL cab 25
HR1 1SS cab 25
HR1 1ST cab 26
HR1 1SU cab 7
HR1 1SX cab 7

I'm guessing you are in HR1 1SS therefore your cab 25 is here:

Yea so annoying that im less than 10m away from it too =) (infact joint closest with one other house up for sale next door). The existing pcp cabinet is on private land technically so that may might the holdup.

Does anyone know which cab services hr27jj?

Depends what door number, could be 85 or 9

They will have a wayleave agreement for it. the interesting thing will be where they site the FTTC cab, you want it as close to the existing cab as possible,

I dunno, it's making me nervous. There's no mention of the Kempton Ave PCP on roadworks.org - while it is showing work due to start in the next month elsewhere in town, of course that data could be outdated etc? Knowing my luck, we're not going to get it after all this :/

Doesn't help that Hereford Council still haven't released their Streetworks documents for the week....
