Re: FTTC in Margate, Ramsgate and Broadstairs

Checking ndram6 this am got thr following response which is the first time i have seen fttc and speed mentioned
Your cabinet is planned to have WBC FTTC by 30th September 2012. Our test also indicates that your line currently supports a fibre technology with an estimated WBC FTTC Broadband where consumers have received downstream line speed between 52.7 to 54.6 Mbps and upstream line speed between 15.7 to 18 Mbps

Broadstairs is live! smile smile

At 2:00am this morning my page watcher email arrived stating the page content had changed:

Our test also indicates that your line currently supports a fibre technology with an estimated WBC FTTC Broadband where consumers have received downstream line speed of 57 Mbps and upstream line speed of 20 Mbps.

I'm off to order fibre......finally, I'll then check all PCP's

Edit: Order placed, engineers appointment booked for PM Monday 20th August smile

Broadstairs has certainly taken its time!
Margate/Thanet is trickling along - 2 changes today, NDTHA35 is now live and NDTHA40 is giving estimates.

My Broadband Speed Test

Looking forward to a speed increase!

Hurry up and get your Broadstairs orders in, earliest I was offered was PM 20 August.

These twelve Broadstairs cabinets are now showing as live:

NDBRO 6
NDBRO 8
NDBRO 10
NDBRO 11
NDBRO 12
NDBRO 13
NDBRO 14
NDBRO 16
NDBRO 18
NDBRO 25
NDBRO 27
NDBRO 29

As before there may be others, but the addresses I'm using may not show them live.

Now to check Ramsgate.

PS. Thanks for the update rjh321

Edit: No changes to Ramsgate cabinets, although NDRAM 21 has been re-shelled yesterday, and it looks like they've left space next to it for the FTTC cabinet.

This morning, the only change I can see is that NDTHA40, which was giving estimates 2 days ago now isn't!

Hey, i saw in a previous post that "martyn" had had some success with sky ordering an openreach engineer to sort out the fibre lines to his house.

I just contacted Sky about 30 mins ago and they told me they can't do mine yet. I'm at CT95RG and i think that on the NDTHA13 cabinet. My home is already setup with sky phoneline, broadband and tv. I want to get their [censored] in gear.

Any ideas?

You're pretty close to me and I'm in the same boat - neither cabinet has been enabled yet for fibre. It looks like we've just got to wait until Openreach decide to do it.

Hey,
Thank you again for the information. Iv checked and double checked, when I use the checker to just check number 63, it shows as the 30th sept as you've mentioned, but when I try it with my BT phone number / try the flat number as well, it gives no indication of FTTC services. I guess that's just the error you mentioned. Thank you for your help, I will have to be patient until come september time I guess.
