In reply to a post by Adsl24:
Openreach will only be showing if a cab is delayed (and the reason), not if the cab is planned

Did the email from the BT guy get it wrong? He says the system will show whether each individual cabinet is in a deployment phase or not (i.e. whether it is planned for deployment or not).

Oliver.

It will only contain information about delayed cabs.

Here's hoping the website is better informed than the poor guy manning this email address.

There have been several issues raised between Openreach and your local council.
All work was stopped by the council and this cab was part of that deployment that was stopped.

We are working with the council on a number of cabs that had planning issues in an effort to establish grounds on which to commence deployment again. Hopefully we should be in a position soon to progress with the build.
Im sorry to bring you this news, but we will commence work as soon as we can.

Hi Tony,

I'm very aware of the planning issues, I wasn't aware they affected this cabinet as it's not in a conservation area so not subject to planning permission.

There have been no planning applications made by Openreach in the Whitton ward, where I live, in the past 15 months related to SFBB.

In my previous address the cabinet received planning permission, as part of a tranche of over 80 cabinets in conservation areas borough-wide to receive permission over the course of a few weeks, from the planning committee, over a year ago and is still not built.

These issues were resolved a year ago. You guys are aware that you marked the Kneller Hall exchange as 'live' earlier this year and have been building out cabinets in this borough during the intermediate period?

You may want to look at Streetworks references BC005WP0010050008565370 or BC005WP00100500085653700 as 2 examples of NGA builds in progress in the borough.

I know you're only going by the information you've been provided here. Apologies if I seem contrary but I seem to be in an area Openreach forgot.

Is this up and running yet? Don't know where to look on the open-reach website to be honest though.
