yeah agreed

not sure if i can name names

this is the guy who was complaining to me, that 2 of the council planners had gone to the site "on behalf" of BT to find a solution.........

obviously i didnt want to [censored] him off, but in my head I'm screaming

"No, your doing it for the 280 odd properties on this estate, WHO YOU WORK FOR!!!!"

Think you are nailing the issue here. Planning departments have lost sight of their purpose which is to take a balanced, considered approach to development, not just set out to frustrate it. They are conditioned to think that appearance is the primary factor in a planning decision, without really considering the overall benefit to the public at large of that development. Maybe they just don't think broadband is a 'vital public service' yet....

Maybe you could ask the Planning Inspectorate to intervene?

James - be* pro - 16.8 / 1.2 Mbps until 16th Sept - then BT Infinity from 19th Sept - 44.6 / 6.5 Mbps estimated
BQM 13 years of broadband - ntl:(512k/1M)/BTbusiness(2M)/Metronet(2M)/Bulldog(8M/16M)/BE(16M)
