Your town is?

There is cornwall that went its own way ahead of BDUK, and North and South Tyneside ignoring that plan.

So if there are more spending tax payers money to get SFBB to 100% of area it deserves talking about.

Can Anyone help l live in a small village called turners hill in Crawley

Turners Hill is not Crawley, its 9 miles outside. You're not on the (huge) Crawley exchange - you're on the Copthorne exchange (based on postcode).

The problem with living outside a big town is that there are a lot less phone lines and so its not economic for BT/openreach to install all the FTTC kit.

James - be* pro - 16.8 / 1.2 Mbps until 16th Sept - then BT Infinity from 19th Sept - 44.6 / 6.5 Mbps estimated
BQM 13 years of broadband - ntl:(512k/1M)/BTbusiness(2M)/Metronet(2M)/Bulldog(8M/16M)/BE(16M)

To recap this thread, his exchange has FTTC He state's two cabinets are enabled, and his was held up due to planning permission, which has now been granted, but I guess the cabinet not yet installed.

His best bet is to email the address shown here http://forums.thinkbroadband.com/fibre/t/4155496-re-... and hope to get a reply.

It's Hastings. The whole fibre thing is part of the so-called regeneration plans, most of which is not going down well. I'll post a link about it all if it's still on the HBC website. IIRC the money came out of the council's reserve funds which it likes to give away to neighbouring councils, but that's another story.

It's in Crawley as far as the Post Office is concerned and the postcode in question is 5 miles from the centre of Crawley, not 9. Also, OP knows he is on the Copthorne exchange.

I think you will find that this is money that the council has apportioned as part of its contribution to the BDUK projects, and as such HAS NOT been handed to BT.

Decision on BT or Fujitsu is still to happen.

There is stuff like this in Lewes
http://www.lewes.gov.uk/planning/19924.asp

The liaising is not about money changing hands, but co-operating on planning applications and FTTC cabinet locations to avoid complaints once hardware is in place.

Has some hasting planning permission stuff for cabinets

Post Office doesn't count, they use post towns for organisation. Some villages have post towns over 30 miles away.

9 miles if you drive it - I know the area well, Crawley's my home town wink

Likewise, and even the longest route is only about 7 miles, less than 6 if you take a more direct route down Turners Hill Road

Thanks for all the help so far all that I am trying to find out is when openreach have plans to finish the fibre role out in turners hill RH10 4NS. I am desperate to get fibre it takes me approx 3 days to upload a photoshoot which is ridiculous in this time and day.
So if any one can give me the date of when this might happen it will give me something to work with.

Thanks again
