I dont think it will be long.

Stay with plusnet, you probably dont reallly need to continue to pay for pro.

I think you are getting a bit mixed up. this contract between BT if it is Bt and the council will not affect you and it certainly won't affect me.
If it does go ahead, you bet your bottom dollar the network will not be for the likes of me and you, it is suppose to be a way of getting faster broadband to places around Herefordshire that don't have it.

Allpay will still be providing broadband and you can still have your broadband provided by them, i will be as long as they can give me the speed I want and sort their service out.

i know people from allpay read these forums, please allpay, sort out the slow speed I am getting, I know you are waiting for a router or switch, but how long do it take for it to be delivered? i could have cycled and got it by now smile
i hope this gets sorted before the weekend.

I see the cab on the corner of Coningsby street and Widemarsh street now got a poster on saying fibre broadband is here or something like that. Still not one on the one by the college co-op and yet that is suppose to have been up and running for a week or more.

Anyone know what's going on for cab 25 (am at top end of quarry road, tupsley). A new cab went in and they dug up the road leading to it and made good after, but still checker shows as not yet available. I can't order until it is and from what I'm reading, it will be a month or so after that before an engineer visit to install.

Can't wait to increase my speed - sucks currently.

Separate query, which provider for fibre for gaming - On plusnet pro at the mo...

Maybe better off going with sky,. If plusnet traffic manage their FTTC packages like they do their ADSl packages then you will end up with a quarter of the speed you are suppose to get.

TBH, there is little choice in the FTTc market at the moment.

All gaming traffic with plusnet will be at linespeed in the platinum queue.

Unless a user is a big downloader the shaping they apply on the new fibre accounts is very minimal.

Re: Cab 71 Kempton Avenue - I got bored yesterday so emailed nga.enquiries cc' Ian Livingston, Oliver Garfield, and Michael Rake. Got a reply please bear with us whilst we investigate so some process.

My email went:

"I'd like to formally complain about the lack of process on Hereford FFTC PCP 71 (Kempton Avenue). It seems you have done all the easy installs in Hereford at good pace, but all the others that where planned that were slightly more completed you've left high and dry.

We need a clearer visibility of exactly what's happening and where the holds up are, you seem to be blaming planning when most of the issues are with openreach and their contractors due to the more complex installs. With little less than a week and a half left before the 30th September I have no confidence that you will make the dates you advertised to the public.

Can someone please let me know the exact position of the this cabinet and when its going to be done, please no bull****.

A left down and very disappointed customer."

My Installation Date was yesterday BT do not have enough qualified engineers so they were a no show, now have to wait before can re-order, not a happy bunny, not sky,s fault, they were only informed this morning by bt that they could not complete the install
