so what ere they doing about the other cabs then .i thik allpay need to bring the speeds up to much bts new fiber can offer i would like to have speeds of up to 80mb or allpay wil loss out if they dont
Why do you want speeds of 80Mb/s? Most people will never even notice it to be honest. standard browsing is fine with 2-3Mb/s, I can understand having around 10 if you are watching HD stuff. i can even understand maybe wanting 30Mb/s if there is a family with a few people using the net at the same time, but 80Mb/s is not really needed.
As for Allpay, they are in a different market, they are in the market where people can't get a decent broadband speed, I should most people will Allpay or any other wireless network are happy to be able to get 5Mb/s as I expect their normal broadband speed via copper cables to be pretty naff, if they can get it at all.
Myself I went the way i did because i wanted to try something different, wanted to get away from the BT network. I am not going to say i will never go for fibre as things change and at some point I may, but at the moment I don;'t feel the need for it.
Other cabs will be updated if Bt think they are going to make money out of doing so. this is one of the reason for this new contract that the council is looking at, so BT will have tax payers money to give people faster broadband where Bt will not fork out their own money
Don't get me wrong, it is nice that Hereford have at last got faster broadband after so long of being behind other places, but it is yet another monopoly company.
