Quick question , on lorians map, is it only worth applying if your purple or should you try and order in green as well?

Using that cab checker it has me at a cab which is miles away from my nearest fttc point.

Is it not very accurate?

The cab checker will tell you the right one. I have cabs closer to me than the one I am actually on. If you use the bt checker it will tell you your estimated speed.

Thanks

Ok thanks, it's just I have I one 50 yards from me and the one they have me on is right across the river at the bottom of Broomy hill which is about a mile away, seems odd.

Is the cab you're on dictated by existing physical copper, can you be connected to a nearer cab?

I ran the cab checker , gives me p96, which doesn't seem to exist on lorians map , his calls it pcp77

I tried the checker
http://www.dslchecker.bt.com/adsl/ADSLChecker.address

But it says page not found

Gl with your install btw.

I found this checker thou

http://www.dslchecker.bt.com/adsl/adslchecker.welcome

Gives me 34 mb, not awful, no 76 mb though, but if its coming from a mile away at the bottom of Broomy hill, (I am top of Belmont) that makes sense I guess.

Wonder if I can be plugged into a nearer cab, there's one across the corner from me.

Yeah the link isn't working for me - must have to use the one you went to first then click on address checker.

Well My Engineer FAILED TO TURN UP!

I'm so [censored] right now, I called Sky and they spoke to BT apparently my call has gone back to the controllers who will try to reschedule an engineer to come to me and call me about it.

I have waited 3 weeks already I kept the appointment - why can't they? is 3 weeks not long enough for BT to get to an appointment on time? I say on time they had a window of 5 hours!

I am going to sit here and continue to stew!

Tell them you want an escellated appointment, at their cost of course.

I think this might help.

I am of course banking on them actually wanting to do it on a Saturday....
