Cab 83 Hampton Park Road / End of Old Eign Hill

Just an update, I've emailed Openreach on the nga.enquires link, asking why the long delay despite the FTTC cab apparently being powered up.

Initially I received a standard reply, saying that there are various reasons, like unmapped underground cables, disputed land ownership, blocked cable routes etc.

I replied that I felt that none of this applies, as the cabinet is already there and apparently operational.

They replied back, asking me to bear with them, whilst they source the answer, so they have been very obliging.

I have just emailed Openreach about CAB 30 Ross Road.

I am finding this whole thing to be a bit of a postcode lottery. An interesting thing that I am finding that Openreach seem to be selective with which CABs go FTTC.

Example in my area on the Ross Road there are 2 CABs 30 and 60. 60 is FTTC and providing to a shiny new private housing estate, where as 30 is not FTTC and feeds a mainly council housing estate!!?

Where is the logic in upgrading one CAB and not the other when they are no less than 100 meter apart but on opposite sides of road??? Im sure I can find more examples of this in Hereford!

I dont think 60 services much if any of the new estate of which you speak. Much of that estate are not in this phase of the roll-out at all due to their cabs being unplanned (104 etc)

My *guess*is 30 is an issue is because it has a pretty big SCP and there is no room for tie cables.
