got a reply from openreach, it states

"I have been in contact with the Project Manager and he advises me that the cabinet is ready to go-live and to accept orders late December 2012, barring any complications".

Today I decide to check the line checker on bt.com, this now states the earliest I will get infinity is 31/03/2013.

Who do I believe lol?

None of them.
The checker told me end of the month and open reach told me the end of January. Then a week later my cab was live and taking orders

Just keep checking the BT wholesale asdl checker each week in December, if it does not go live then it will be early January.
