Just to give you an idea - Sky are generally able to offer fibre products 4-6 weeks after the cabinet goes live.

Surely the only delay for a particular unbundled supplier should be when the exchange goes live?

The enabling of particular cabinets has no impact on the exchange.

BT Infinity 2 - IP profile 77 / 20 - super fast!
Previously BE Unlimited - 21,000 Download 1,200 Upload but then moved house - 6,500 Down, 1Mb/s up - gutted!
Ex <n>ildram , been to SKY MAX - 15,225 Download

Wow. Thats much earlier than I thought... Cab 40 - is that the one at the bottom of whiddon valley by Barton Road?

Cabinet 40 is the one at the second turning of Barton road by the cycle path.

They've now positioned a fibre cab further along, near the school.

Yeah, my partner told me, she saw them working on it when going to the school. They are popping up everywhere now, the top of pilton, by summerland stores etc. I'm surprised they haven't upgraded the cab at the start of Barton road.

Had email this morning from OR saying they are in the process of renewing the main old PCP before end of march and then will be continuing with the rest of the work connecting the fibre in Fremington. Then said might be delayed till beginning of May (original live dates were ...end of April , then end of 2013... !!) .

So still sounds like things are still on track and Barnstaple exchange enablement shouldn't be long !! smile

Cheers smile

Nothing appears to be happening at Cabinet 62 (entrance to Brynsworthy Park).

Earlier in the year there were contractors pulling "cable" between a manhole near the Cedars, entrance to Brynsworthy Park, and Old Bideford Road (Currys side).

Likewise a couple weeks later the same contractors appeared to be doing a similar/same job on the opposite site of Old Bideford Road (Sainsburys Side). Since then I've seen a green FTTC box appear in Maple Grove (estate behind Sainsburys).

However, still no FTTC cab has appeared alongside Cab 62 or that I can see on the Brynsworthy Park estate.
