I got this from NGA enquiries regarding the date changes:

"The change in dates on the website is as a result of the recent Advertising Standards Agency ruling Openreach will be moving to provide a six-and-nine-month view of when exchanges will be enabled to improve the accuracy of this data when it is presented to end-users by CPs.

However, the deployment plan remains the same the majority of people who were given a March date will still be able to receive service by that point, we are just unable to provide a three-month view any more as a result of the ASA ruling.

Whilst in most cases we were able to forecast an accurate date, deploying fibre is a complex engineering job which involves planning consent in some cases, power provision, traffic management, etc. Therefore there will always be the potential for unexpected delays to occur for an individual cabinet. Moving to a six-month view reduces the impact of such delays on our predictions."

Thank you for your enquiry. You are connected to the Bargoed Exchange, cabinet 14.

We have experienced engineering problems with the deployment of your cabinet. This was due to two blockages, however, our systems indicate that the cabinet will hopefully be ready for service May 2013, barring any further complications.

I suggest you continue to monitor our Web-Site which will keep you up to date with our latest deployment news for your exchange, the site also contains FAQs.

The Web-Site can be viewed using the following link:

http://www.openreach-communications.co.uk/superfast/...

I am sorry I cannot provide a definite date at this time.

right just to let some people know i been waiting on fttc to roll out where i am for year or so anyway cut a long story short rfs dates rolled back three times according to samknows and is not supposed to be here till june this year according to information right at this moment in time on samknows.
did a check on bt openreach site all along from December last year and about a month ago has become available.
yet samknows still has wrong info i would suggest people check themselves as like me i can have it on there telephone number and if i had not checked all along i would still be none the wiser my only pain is i'm about 600m from my cab and there speed estimates is i can only get 48M down and 8M up on the 80/20 product RATS!

https://www.btwholesale.com/includes/adsl/main.html

hope this helps some out there.

I think it's quite ironic that it's called BT Infinity, as that's roughly how long people have to wait before they can get it!

Well, hopefully I can offer some cheer

As posted on here, my cab had been set back from March 13 to June 13 but when I checked last Friday wholesale checker states I can now get FTTC.

Oddly, every ISP seems to recognise the fact I can get fibre other than BT themselves - however, I have only ran online order checks so far so a call may produce different results.

They're actually well ahead of schedule, overall. 18 months so, which is [censored] impressive.

Obviously there is going to be local problems which are a total pain -- but as a whole, I think the rollout has went incredibly fast. 100-200k new properties a week being connected is great.

Lol, I totally agree. Even though my RFS date in Llanelli is not due until 30/09/2013 most of the other part of the town can get it even the street behind my garden wall can get 80/20 FTTC service, grrrr!

FreeServe @ 56Kbs -> BT Business (ADSL) @ 512kbps -> AOL 2Mbps -> TalkTalk upto 24Meg (19Mbps) -> SkyBB upto 10Meg (8.4Mbps) :: Now, Patiently waiting for FTTC then upgrade to FTTPoD
