Thanks for the reply (and to the others that commented).

I suppose I'd foolishly assumed that when Openreach announced it was enabling FTTC access from the Barnstaple exchange that - within reason - anyone being served by the exchange would be hooked up. I did however realised that there would need to be an element of cost vs potential demand.

As I don't live anywhere out of the ordinary (it's one of the estates at Roundwell) I'm just a little surprised to find that our cabinet is not part of the roll-out plans. That said having had a count up of the estate there are only 151 houses.

I have emailed Openreach to see if the cabinet features in any of their plans for FTTC. Failing that I guess I'll have to wait for BDUK/Connecting Devon and Somerset to fund an expansion.

On a completely different note, when I moved from TalkTalk to BT in early April, BT were running an offer for people migrating from TalkTalk.

Today, I received my gift - a £100 Sainsbury's gift card!!!!! Was gonna switch anyway, but thats a tasty bonus!

Ok , it was because I had put an advert in signature I wasn't allowed to do , didn't realise and they all got wiped !

I'm still here though waitin patiently for my plusnet fibre install in 2 weeks time !
