interesting, so if one does some work on their modem, its perhaps safer to just pull the power smile rather than pulling the dsl cable out.

I wrote this a couple of weeks ago in a post on here asking that exact question. My experience pulling the plug is better for the connection rather than taking the DSL out.

Probably it due to recording SES/UAS errors then reporting them back to the DLM.
