Did my regular weekly check this morning (definitely not daily!!) and all mention of FTTC has disappeared from the BTW checker. Does this mean that after doing all the work, OR have changed their mind?!

Possibly, but very unlikely. Estimates often disappear and reappear some time later, sometimes this also happens just before the cab goes live. Nothing to worry about.
I have some bad news. That telephone cab next to the fttc needs replacing, to do the work the wall the cab backs to has to be removed. There are no tails from the fttc to the existing tel cab and two teams have already took a loom and walk away. On a plus side the homeowner who owns the wall has granted BT open reach permission but this is classed as problem cab. I too run off this cab but I also have inside knowledge of the issues.

Funnily enough, I was just thinking this the other day. A BTO Engineer I had out for a broadband fault a couple of years ago said the Cab was FUBAR, and would need to be replaced at some point.
Do you know if the original timescale will still apply of 31st July for activation?
The contact I have is the ones who changes the cabs, they have no order to change this at the time of writing.
Experience tells me this date will slip again and I predict an end of September slot.
[censored] I know but with the information I have and the past experience of cab date movement on a problem cab (I moved from gorleston and cab 17 was also a problem cab and was one year overdue).
The completion date for Great Yarmouth PCP15 is early-August 2013
Please be aware that the engineering work required to commission a Fibre Broadband cabinet is often complex and should conditions on the ground change, there is a risk that the delivery date may be effected. Please track the date for commissioning through the line checker of your chosen service provider.
